A large part of young people today believe in assumptions based on false premises. At the same time, the world around them is changing rapidly — without context.

What young people believe today
Children limit career and personal freedom.
Family and career success are fundamentally in conflict.
There is “plenty of time later” for family — no urgency.
My individual decisions do not affect society.
Reality we ignore
Demography is changing rapidly and irreversibly — lost time cannot be recovered.
An ageing society means fewer workers, fewer pensions, fewer services — for everyone.
The biological clock does not wait for career success — it is a biological fact.
Each generation shapes the conditions for the next — and for its own old age.

Programme structure

Five steps towards
a different mindset

The programme is designed as an experiential journey — not a lecture. Each step builds on the previous one and leads the participant from data to personal responsibility.

Reality without filters
Visual presentation of demographic changes: ageing population, declining birth rates, future scenarios. Raw data that cannot be ignored.

Personal projection
Positioning yourself in your own future. Questions: where will I be in 30 years? Who will be beside me? What kind of society awaits me? Statistics become personal.

Confrontation with real data on careers and parenthood, the financial aspects of family life, and real-life examples and perspectives — challenging dominant beliefs.

Space for reflection
Open questions, structured discussion and guided reflection. Not passive listening — activation of thinking and independent search for answers.

Demographic idea incubator
Collection of participants’ ideas, documentation of proposals and integration of the best into future Institute projects. Young people do not just listen — they co-create.

Methodology

What the programme is based on

The programme is not a lecture on demography. It is an experiential method built on four pillars that together create a lasting shift in thinking.

Visual tools
Grafi, demografske projekcije in interaktivni modeli, ki naredijo podatke razumljive in čustveno dostopne.
Emotional engagement
Postavitev v lastno osebno prihodnost. Ko statistika postane tvoja lastna zgodba, se sprožijo prave misli.
Critical thinking
Strukturirana vprašanja in diskusija, ki spodbujajo udeležence k lastnim zaključkom — ne k sprejetju podanih odgovorov.
Participation
Zbiranje in vključevanje idej mladih v projekte inštituta. Njihov prispevek je realen in merljiv.
