Relationships before instructions
The project does not start from sensationalism or moralising, but from the understanding that young people need a space for questions they often do not know how to ask.
Project · schools · parents · professionals
A workshop programme for young people, parents and professionals that treats sexuality education in a wider sense: as a question of relationships, responsibility, communication, personal boundaries, the digital environment and mature decision-making.
Editorial framework
It is also a conversation about trust, responsibility, respect, family, personal integrity and the ability of a young person to understand themselves and others.
01
The project does not start from sensationalism or moralising, but from the understanding that young people need a space for questions they often do not know how to ask.
02
The workshops emphasise personal boundaries, consent, digital safety and the ability to recognise unhealthy relationship patterns.
03
The programme connects personal decisions with long-term questions of relationships, families, fertility and Slovenia’s demographic future.
Programme modules
The project is modular, so it can be adapted to primary schools, secondary schools, parents, professionals and local communities.
A workshop on emotions, attraction, communication, boundaries, peer pressure and responsible behaviour in the digital environment.
Support for parents in calm, honest and age-appropriate conversations about relationships, sexuality, the digital environment and growing up.
A programme for teachers, school counsellors and youth workers who need a balanced, non-ideological and practical approach.
Methodology
The workshops use dialogue, questions, real-life examples and reflection. The aim is not to frighten young people, but to help them understand the consequences of decisions, the value of respect and the importance of healthy relationships.
Institute context
Relationships, partnerships, families and fertility are not separate topics. They are part of a wider social picture. This project therefore complements the Institute’s research work on youth, family, fertility and the future of communities. Within the wider institutional ecosystem, it also connects with the understanding of partnership patterns and social change, where the Institute has established a strategic partnership with Ona-On (VenetiCOM d.d.).
Implementation principles
Parents are not excluded from the process; they are an important part of a mature conversation about growing up.
Young people are treated as persons who need knowledge, safety, understanding and room for honest questions.
The programme is implemented in cooperation with the host institution and adapted to the age, context and specific needs of each group.
For primary and secondary schools, youth centres, parents and professionals, we prepare the programme according to age, purpose and local context.
