Young people responded strongly to a workshop that connected personal reflection with demographic questions.

The pilot workshop combined the story of the Institute, global demographic context and an exercise called “Me in 20 Years”. The method guided students from individual reflection to group work and a joint discussion about the values that shape quality of life.

The Celje pilot confirmed that young people can independently identify key life values when they are given a structured and open space for reflection.

Five phases from attention to long-term thinking.

1Introduction and institute story

Presentation of the Institute, its mission and global demographic challenges.

2Exercise: Me in 20 Years

Students imagined and wrote about their life twenty years into the future.

3Group work

Participants worked in groups, found common points and recorded findings.

4Reflection and thematic analysis

The facilitator highlighted three recurring themes: money and career, health, family and friends.

5Closing message

Emphasis on long-term thinking, personal goals and the value of relationships.

The pilot workshop achieved an average score of 9.36 out of 10.

At the end of the workshop, students completed an evaluation survey. The results confirm an exceptionally high level of satisfaction and engagement.
