Survey privacy notice
How we process responses without direct identifiers and protect participants.
1. Data collected
We do not request your name, email address, telephone number or exact address. We collect voluntarily submitted responses about a broad age group, statistical region, self-rated health, activity limitations, informal care, household circumstances, access to services, housing conditions and intergenerational support. Optional questions may be skipped.
2. Purpose and legal basis
The purpose is scientific and public-interest analysis of regional needs and development of the Generational Health Index. The legal basis is your explicit consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where an answer reveals health data, Article 9(2)(a) GDPR.
3. Voluntary participation and withdrawal
Participation is voluntary, and you may close the survey before submitting it. Because we do not collect a direct identifier, after submission we will generally be unable to link an individual response to you reliably or remove it on request.
4. Hosting, recipients and transfers
The form is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States), which acts as a processor for submission delivery, security and abuse prevention and may process IP addresses and technical log data. For transfers from the EEA to the United States, it uses the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Responses may be accessed only by authorised IDP researchers and the provider to the extent necessary to deliver the service. 5. Access, retention and publication
Raw responses are accessible only to authorised IDP researchers. They will be retained for no longer than 24 months after data collection ends and then deleted or irreversibly anonymised. We publish aggregate results only and suppress small cells or combinations that could increase identification risk.
6. Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability and may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. As no direct identifier is collected, we will often be unable to establish which submission belongs to you; where a record cannot be linked to you, rights concerning that record cannot practically be exercised. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
